When I got together some cash I went down to a dealership near me and picked up a 2008 Kawasaki Vulcan 900. It's the perfect bike for someone first starting out with because it is a lighter 900cc bike for easier handling but it also offers the fuel economy of 45-50 miles per gallon depending on the bike load, terrain and riding style.
